Beckett Not Likely To Be Traded

Sources report that right handed pitcher Josh Beckett is unlikely to be traded today. Beckett's numbers are way down; he has been particularly bad in his last three starts. Beckett's ERA is at 4.57 and he has a very poor record of 5-9.

The Red Sox most likely trade targets would be to move one of their catchers, Jarod Saltalamachiaa or Kelly Shoppach in order to give more time to young prospect Ryan Lavarnway.

  1. Beckett cant be traded because nobody wants an overpaid poorly performing malcontent...really - no GM would give a bucket of balls for him and his contract. If he was standing on the side of the road for free with that contract no one would stop to pick him up.

    Thank Theo for that one...

    1. While I completely agree with you, we have a lot to thank Theo for. I still think Beckett might come back on track, but then again, I'm a fan, not a realist.

What do you think of the blog? Is there anything you think I could do better?
